Bob Thomas was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Southern California. He's a graduate of Biola, where he met his lovely wife, Nellie. He was captain of the wrestling team, All-American and national champion in 1978. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Talbot Seminary (where his father was a professor for many years, now teaching at The Master's Seminary).
Bob served as Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at Walnut Creek Evangelical Free Church (1981-1988), Pastor of Student Ministries at Fresno Evangelical Free Church (1988-1992), Associate Pastor of Education and Discipleship at Lake Avenue Congregational Church in Pasadena (1994-1996) and Senior Pastor of Christ Church, Lake Forest Illinois (1996-2003).
Nellie was born in Woodland, California, and grew up in the East Bay. Her degree from Biola is in Communications. She's an accomplished tennis player and skilled high school/college tennis coach. Bob and Nellie have three kids, Drew Landon and Amy.
