BUILDING WOMEN'S LIVES
On Saturday, May 22, Calvary Church will host a Single Mom's Spa Day to minister to single mothers in our church family and community. Women's Ministries is currently looking for people with the heart to help: manicurists, pedicurists, massage therapists, set up/clean up crew, prayer team, volunteers to decorate, hospitality team, child care workers, people to donate breakfast and lunch items, and car washers. GOT PETS?

If your pet has a passion for ministry, you and your pet can encourage others together! We are looking for volunteers to share the Bible comfortably and befriend seniors in an assisted living facility. On either a Saturday or Sunday each week, one or two volunteers with their dogs go room to room to visit residents one-on-one. We share our pet and visit with them. We also hand them a card with a weekly Bible verse and often read the verse out loud with them. Before we leave we ask if we can pray for them and if they have any prayer requests.
Lead by Nicole Bendemire, a certified Physician Assistant with a background in animal-assisted therapy, Calvary's Pet-Assisted Therapy ministry brings much joy to elderly residents. Animal-Assisted Therapy Ministry is one of the few things that makes Evelyn happy and comfortable living in her new assisted-living facility. She is so happy to see Brodie, the King Charles Cavalier, that we bring to visit her. Seeing Brodie is the highlight of her week. With each visit Evelyn becomes more open to pray and discuss the Bible. She has also started to attend church services.
