Got a little love to share? Every other month, Shining Stars hosts a respite for children with special needs and their siblings. Shining Stars needs special "tenders" to love on these children and have fun with them for the evening. No experience is needed. Nurses and trained staff are there to assist.
Contact Joyce Roberts 408.307.4348 or joyceconnection@aol.com for further information.

MAKE A LASTING FIRST IMPRESSION ON SUNDAY MORNINGS!
Calvary’s Guest Experience Team launches Sunday, August 29th.
Beginning this week we hope several of you sense God’s leading to take a step of faith and be a part of this team.
Here are answers to a few questions you may be asking?
- Why does Calvary have a Guest Experience team? Our guests are real people with real needs and we want to help them take their next step toward Christ…together. This team has the opportunity to share God’s love the moment they walk on our campus, create environments that make them say, “I can’t wait to come back” and help prepare their hearts for what God has to say to them during service.
- What are the Guest Experience Teams? Greeters, Hospitality, Parking Lot, etc. Click here to view a list>
- How much time to I have to commit? Depends, it could be anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple hours on the Sunday you serve. Overall a short time commitment with a lasting impact.
Mike Jafferies, (greeter/usher), says I love helping people find where they need to go, I just helped 2 first time guests this last week find the Worship Center. It’s exciting to play a role like that on Sundays!”
Terry Rutledge, parking lot lead says, “People are expecting a worship folder in the morning and we get to alter the course of their morning with a smile and a touch of the heart. Terry’s desire for this team is to see our guests experience God when they encounter the people on his team by the impact they make from smiles and hellos.
Join our team and help us create environments where people can’t wait to come back. Interested? Email or Call Kim Olson at kim@calvarylg.com or 408.356.5126 x247.
Join us, Sunday August 29 for our Guest Experience Kickoff. You’ll hear the heart of the ministry and get prepared for serving in this ministry. (Lunch and Childcare is provided) RSVP by Aug. 23 to: kim@calvarylg.com.
